Once again the L word is re-approaching our telivisions on Jan 6th, and frankly I am quite thrilled about season 5. Would you like to know why? I have two words for you, "Carmen RETURNS!". Knowing that Carmen will be back on set makes me as excited as a kid going to Disney World.

To tribute this little factor I decided to post one of my fav scenes featured on The L Word. Best part about this clip is that it's behind the scene, with commentary ofcourse, from the stars themselves :D

Enjoy

<lj-embed id="1" />

Oh Mia, how I can't get enough of you lol.

I was sure I wasn't going to be accepted due to the fact that the Illustration & Design program had exceeded its usual amount of applicants this year. Actually this year it was a new record for the amount of applicants applying for that program, and I remember clearly that Lucy Thrahan (Administrator of I&D) said that many would not be accepted just for the fact that there was only so many applicants and not enough room for all of them. I really thought I wouldnt be accepted because my academic background wasn't completed so all I had going for me was my Portfolio and that was that.

Surprisingly I was chosen to be a student in the program, and that only means one thing, lol my portfolio must of been damn good for them to have chosen me over 50 other artists! Anyways all I can say is that I'm happy and can't wait to get started, Yay!

Ok so recently I was watching this program on TLC, and the whole episode was about children who have Progeria. For those who don't know what Progeria is than read the explanation below.

Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome : Is a rare, fatal genetic condition characterized by an appearance of accelerated aging in children. Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria syndrome is an extremely rare genetic condition which causes physical changes that resemble greatly accelerated aging in sufferers. The disease affects between 1 in 4 million (estimated actual) and 1 in 8 million (reported) newborns. Currently, there are approximately 40-45 known cases in the world. There is no known cure. Most people with progeria die around 13 years of age.

Anyways I was completely moved by the episode that I wanted to get involved somehow to help children with this difficult syndrome. Most children who suffer from this don't live very long, and I think thats what got to me. I want to fullfil their dreams and make it into reality. I want their lives to be full, not empty. I want them to feel like they've lived life, and aren't gonna miss a thing.

I want to volunteer and help these young children, and doing so I have filled an application for fundraising work, or some kind of volunteering involvement. I want to give back some life to the young children who wont be able to experience life the way I do.

So in doing so I've decided that the best way I can help out is to draw, and sell prints to make money for the young kids who have Progeria. Hopefully one day I'll be able to get involved personally with these young kids and get to see a smile on their face. So if anyone out their wants to help me with this fundraiser in any way please leave me a comment or contact me by email at natural_chaos@hotmail.com.

It's time for me to give a little to life instead of keeping it all for myself. Makes you realize that no matter how bad your day has been or how sucky life is, you still got it good compared to other people. People shouldn't be miserable when they know that they can live day after day, have a future, a family, to suceed your dreams and to live life to the fullest. Wont kill anyone to participate and give someone else the best day of their life. Something that the two of you will remember.

Frusterating Month

Sun Sign
Taurus

October is a frustrating month for you since you keep getting mixed signals from the one you love. Both of you are in a state of pure indecision about what to do next and so you end up performing a cat and mouse dance in which each one waits for the other to make a move. Meanwhile, while you are each waiting for the other to decide, frustrations and misunderstandings continue to build. On October 24, your planetary ruler changes signs, indicating that the time has come for you to finally face the music. The big decision comes during the last week of the month.

Current Mood: Frusterated Already
